Will there be Wilderness

60” wide, 84”Long, 34” deep, stuffed upcycled textile, constuction string, wooden shelf, 2017

“Will there be Wilderness?” combines phrases from current Republican environmental policies, “Landmarks,” by author Robert McFarlane and tips for saving the earth. The installation employs mixed media of paint and recycled textiles sewn into small sandbags and strung from orange construction twine to present its message of competing ideologies, and, the artist hopes- caution.

"Landmarks," by author Robert McFarlane a book that celebrates and defends the language of landscape.
