Exhibitions / Installations > Suffragist

“Suffragist” is a wall collage that blends embroideries, fabric, photos, historical documents, and slogans from the 19th -20th centuries women’s movement. The Suffragists endured a long and challenging struggle, dating prior to the 1848 Seneca Falls convention and the ratification of the 19th amendment in 1920.

The installation was part of In_Question's “Broad Powers,” exhibit at the Hammond Museum and Japanese Walking Garden from May-November 2021.
