Ancestor Museum
Researching city census reports, I found the estimated years my ancestral families came to America. Combining saved objects from my grandparents, photographs, memories, and family stories, my artwork evolved.
I photographed everyday items and interesting objects from my family’s lives, which retained their energy. I printed the photos on fabric and combined them with textiles or other objects to create assemblages, which I think are like small shrines.
