Sunny but Cold: Diaries of Farm Women
Warm, a Little Misty is a cloth book that combines upcycled fabrics with embroidered portraits of women engaged in routine agricultural labor. The images draw inspiration from photographs of farm women in Delaware County during the early 20th century, capturing their activities such as feeding livestock, planting crops, working the fields, and cooking. I reimagine their narratives employing eco dyed natural materials like cotton, canvas, and lace to evoke a layered sense of history and environmental consciousness.
